New Celeboutique Release!

Hello! I'm back, unbanned and appreciating my laptop more than ever!

Seems like quite a lot's been happening on stardoll in my absence. Trust me to miss the exciting release of a new clothing line. Celeboutique is back! With Avril starting the celebrations with a fabulous (*Opinions in comment section please!) collection. Here's a spoilers image!

I actually think the collection is half-decent. A bit rocker chick and punk, but I could wear the skirt, top or hoodie. Skirt provided it was a party. The dresses are a bit much for me, but I adore the black studded boots. They are oh-so couture and high fashion, I just had to have them! The other two pairs, the sneakers, and wedged sneakers are okay-ish but I wouldn't buy them.

Bonus! - The Black Studded Boots are almost identical to the LE boots released earlier in the starplaza.

I adore this outfit. The cute floral dress teamed with the sophisticated blazer gives the outfit a vintage feel that has edginess to it. The strappy gold heels and plum-coloured bag completes the outfit and adds to the sophisticated girl look. Well Done!

This outfit is very French, so it seems fit to say - J’adore it! - The beret gives the outfit a playful and fun edge, whilst the Burberry top (which she designed herself, available in her starplaza now) keeps the outfit fairly formal. The red belt and shoes, add a pop of colour to the outfit, and the black high waisted skirt and black semi-opaque tights finish the outfit off! Good job!

Isabella and style is like fish and water, she just gets it. This adorable creation she is wearing is a perfect example. She has used a simple layering technique that is very professional and hardly noticeable. This playsuit that she has made is very creative and looks great on her doll. The cuff, bag and shoes add colour and all match. Well done!

What can I say, this delightful stardoll user just keeps getting better! This outfit is divine! First of all, she designed the dress she is wearing herself! Isn’t it fabulous? Then she used simple jewellery to give the outfit a bit of sophistication and chose some matching shoes. Perfect!

This rocker chic look is so amazing! First of all her hair - that cute quiff, made it herself, clever much?She used a basic open checked shirt, with a glittery top which sounds malicious but looks delicious! A studded belt, black skinnies and dog collar cuffs kept the outfit looking hardcore. Then a classic leather bag, t-bars and some tattoos just finished the outfit off. Good job!

New Limited Edition

I'm sure you are all familiar with the LE (Limited Edition) brand, and know that it's always super-expensive and very popular. Well the latest 'LE' is a small display of bags, and I don't think you're going to be very pleased with the 'collection'. Here's a screenshot :

Not exactly what you had in mind? - I thought so. So, although they're not absolutely hideous, their price tags are. Ranging from $25-50, the price makes them oh-so more un-appealing. The design isn't gorgeous, the price tag is nawt pretty and so they'd make top of the list of my Notbuys.

The only kind-of nice design is the paint splattered one, but I still wouldn't wear it. The other designs are okay-ish, but the parrot bag is a little too much for me. Shall I get a virtual paper bag for you to throw up in?!

And to finish it all off, they labelled them LE. Just to get us all excited for nothing. And if anyone buys them 'cause the label says LE, it's not even real - they'll be sitting in the starplaza for a couple of days, with unlimited quantity! I smell a rip-off!

Shocking, isn't it? Turns out he's a girl called Bella from England posing as DanPuffs - a well-known stardollian supposedly living in the USA. After he's been exposed the pieces are starting to fit together. Friends say he was often online at unusual times for America such as 5am, which would be a perfectly normal 1pm in England. Dan has denied the whole thing, but what do you think?

Triple Blog Shock!

First Perez Hilton of Stardoll and now TheAList and Tyler's Top Trends! What's next? Three of Stardolls most popular and well-known blogs post for the last time - all within a few days of each other. Tragic! Who will take their place on the blogging throne?

Double Trouble?

Surely you've heard about this whole ''LPD being PSG'' drama. Well, if you haven't basically, LaPrimaDonna returns to stardoll, claiming she is Queen P herself, PerezStarGossip, she doesn't really have much proof but people seemed to believe her. Then a whole new dimension was added to the scandal when LPD suddenly claimed that PSG had been hacked and that's why LPD couldn't prove that she was PSG. She said a user by the name of BetseyJohnson hacked PSG, and so a load of hatemails were sent to BJ on the behalf of all LPD supporters. BJ happens to be a good friend of co-writer on SDR (thestardollrunway) Madelyn (or Chanelgurl23) who says BJ is innocent and has posted BJ's side of the story on her blog (link above). What do you think?

The Next Big Thing!

Well it seems the latest trend is becoming covergirl. In the past many have done above and beyond to win the coveted gold ribbon and have it sit, pride of place in their suite. Recently many have complained about unsightly covergirls, and speculated about how they could ever of won. In the last two weeks or so, more well known members have been appearing in the top five. Will you be next?

Stardoll Losing It's Touch?

Lately, stardoll has gone downill. Famous stardollians have left our beloved virtual world, and famous blogs have been retired. Magazines, which were Stardoll's NBT (Next big thing), are now old and many have released their final issues. But this can only mean one thing -

Room for newbies, and here at thestardollrunway.blogspot.com we're hoping that this blog will become popular now that there's a bit more space. On that note, I'd just like to mention that we do need followers, but that wasn't the point of the post.

My point is - what's stardoll doing wrong? Famous blogs retiring, everyone's leaving....

Kohls II

Sorry about the wait, i've been attending a drama workshop for two weeks, and it's such a long day that i don't have then energy to do anything other than sleep! But luckily for all of you - the stardoll fashion designers have been as busy as i have these last couple of weeks!

Kohls - Well, the Kohls collection is actually very nice. There's a good range of different styles throughout the three stores (Abby Dawn, Mudd & Candie's) and most of the pieces in the collections are cute.

Abbey Dawn - In this collection, they've incorporated a lot of plaid - which is very in right now, and then there's some "schoolgirl punk" as i like to call it, which is a little bit of punk but it's still kinda preppy. The red/white/black colour scheme catched your eye, and the pieces are ahdorable.

Mudd - This store almost has a hippy-esque to it, there's some tie-die and peace themed clothing and jewellery. It's a nice collection - quite basic but it's brightly coloured, summery and also would look great in fall as the colour scheme compliments fall scenery.

Candie's - This is my favourite out of the Kohl's collections but i ahdore the others too. This collection has a really good mix, and all the pieces have different creative & shapes, patterns and styles, but they all look great on the same medoll. All of the clothing is a really nice fit and the designs are unique and original unlike anything released on stardoll before. Fabulous!

Baggy Jeans

On the fashion runways' you'll see the imfamous boyfriend jeans.
Casual, comfy, very weekend-y. Girls all over the world are attempting to master the perfected boyfriend jeans in their own daily life. Weather it be a pair of boyfriend jeans by the designers', or an actual boyfriends jeans, no matter who its' made by, or who it belongs to, you must accessorize right. Otherwise, you'll look like a frumpy girl who just fell out of the trash. Boyfriend Jeans. The top? A simple plain color t-shirt, or tank. If it's a tank, layer it with color! Put on chain link necklaces, and DKNY lace up high tops would look amazing. Keep the jeans hanging on the waist- no higher, no lower- and try a funky belt. Oversized purses are back in style for this comfy look- so whip out last seasons' Marc Jacobs purse, or head over to Barneys and buy yourself a new one! Just remember to cuff the bottom of the jeans atleast above the ankles, to show of your killer heels.

Guest Blogger Topic: Fashion Industry

That's right! I'm the guest blogger for this wonderful blog. You can also check out my blog at stardollfashionphilosophy.blogspot.com. Enough about me, let's get onto the post....

The fashion industry is an amazing place. On the runway you see thin models in clothes that are to die for, and in photo shoots you seem happy women showing off the latest trends. Who wouldn’t want to be like them? Models are everywhere, on television, in magazines, on billboards, everything seems fine. Right? Wrong.

Being a model doesn’t just mean that you’re a body to fill some clothes, it means that you’re a role model. People are always going to be looking at you, whether you like it or not. People, especially tweens and teens, will take after you. Being a model seems like the perfect life [even though it’s not] so who isn’t going to do what they can do seem just like a model? So what does this lead too?

Most models are infamously known to be skinny. Too skinny. You hear all these stories about models starving themselves, throwing up, taking diet pills, and doing other unnatural things to make themselves thinner. It’s sick and disgusting, and needs to be stopped, but is it already too late?

Out of 200 women, 1 in 6 are anorexic or bulimic and only 2-3% will ever get treatment. 86% of these women will be diseased before they reach 20 years of age and many of them could die. Is it all worth it, just to look too skinny? People can tell when you are anorexic or bulimic, and it’s a complete turn off to everyone. No one likes it, so why even try?

Having a healthy weight is important, and key to living a long fulfilling life. If you being anorexic or bulimic, you will quickly loose strength and muscle mass, making it hard to do everyday things. If you are bulimic, your esophagus [the tube that brings food to the stomach] will dissolve from the acids in the vomit you throw up. If your esophagus forms a hole, you will never be able to eat like everyone else every again. Most likely, you’ll have a food tube for the rest of your life.

Weigh the options. Is being model-thin really worth giving up that much in your life? You could even die! It’s always important to love your body- because it’s the one God gave you! Be confident with who you are, and realize that your weight, is a healthy weight, and that’s all that matters.

Fashion Update - ELLE

Wow! This season Elle really is stardoll at it's best! The colourful, easy-to-wear, in-style and affordable pieces are true genius. But one of my favourite pieces in the whole collection, is the hot pink blazer, which is so high-fashion it looks like it's just fallen off the (stardoll!) runway! It's such a unique yet versatile piece of clothing, that it blows me away. You can wear it in so many ways, and it's such a statement piece that it catches everyones' eye, in a subtle, high fashion way. I love it.

I also ahdore the multi-color studded skirt, which is very sophisticated, and at the same time a very daring skirt to wear. Ahgain like the blazer, you can wear it in many different ways, and all of them are guaranteed to look fabulous! I think the skirt is a must-have for every fashion lover.

There are many other gorgeous pieces in the collection, such as the tribal print cropped blouses, fringed pants, metallic mini-skirt and bubble shorts to name just a few. I can definitely see all of these pieces on all of our stardoll fashion icons, and i'm sure they'll come up with some great ideas to showcase the true essence and brilliance of these pieces.

Hot Buys dress

The June '09 Hotbuys dress has been released and I never was happy when I first saw the June "hotbuys" in The Show. I think it's kind weird. It's two different colors, that would look "okay-ish" if it didn't have that random yellow fabric in the top right corner... 3/10. I don't like it, but this is just my opinion.

Older members, have any of you seen this shit before? Everything was cheaper before too.

June Hotbuys Analysis

Hello again! I'm sorry I haven't posted much, but their truly has not been much to blog about! So, I guess I'll have to do what everyone does when there's a dry gossip spell. Talk about HB's.

I hoped I'd never have to talk about there being no gossip, but sadly the time has come. I would've thought with all the re-appearances, competitions, arguments and people leaving, there would be something I could pick up on that no-one has blogged about. But, alas, there was nothing and so here I am. Blogging about Hotbuys, happy as can be (:

Well, at least the Hotbuys are pleasing. I'll start with the good points, hah. I adore the floral dress, as I think it's graphic quality is excellent and the detail of the dress is great as well. I'm also excited about the release of a watch, because I believe it's the first of it's kind and the colours look good. I also am loving the black 'darling' tee, which I think is very flexible and a great wardrobe staple. I love the shape of the shirt as well, and i think it'll look great on everyone. The pink shoes are oh-so delicious as well, and the same design as the Philosophy collection shoes, which I love as well. I also really like the purple skirt and purple, pink and yellow dress. I think the skirt is a classy and elegant statement piece, and a burst of colour for an outfit that needs spicing up. I also have my heart set on the dress being a success. I love the layered effect and how the hanging piece of yellow material really makes the dress pop and takes it from average to glam!

And now, onto the not so glam elements of the June HB's. The necklace is average, and I really dislike the bikini top as a charm. I think it looks tacky and not HB-material at all. It also hangs very low on the model, and I don't like the way it hangs on her body. The bag, is an awful colour, and looks horrid with the dress the model is wearing. The quality of the graphic is quite good though, and the shape of the bag isn't terrible. I think the flowery skirt, looks like something even my granny wouldn't be caught dead in. I know florals are in, but that looks like a pair of curtains! And the pink jacket, just looks familiar. I don't really have anything against it, but I feel there's nothing special that makes it deserve it's place as a Hotbuy.

I've always been a great fan of Sage's creations, and she never fails to surprise. Everytime I visit her suite, she always looks fabulous! I love how today, she mixed it up, using a HB swimsuit, black tube top and skirt to create a stunning dress. Her layering techniques are fantastic, and her work always looks proffesional. She also makes her own designs, and a few are on sale in her bazaar. Be sure to visit her page, and if you want, request her! She's a great friend, and very kind! A true well done Sage!

Marie is a famous stardoll fashion icon. And it really shows in her outfits. Today's composition, is again like Sage's one of Marie's own creations. Plus Marie is following (and making) the latest trends, by having a bold pattern as an element in her outfit. The stripey tube top is a striking addition to any outfit, regarding you have used it in the right way, in the right place. Marie, has really nailed this. The stripes really compliment the classic black skirt, and the bow adds a touch of glamour and fun. Well Done, fabulous outfit Marie!

Well, what can I say? This outfit is pure genius! Everyone is really pleased with the new Philosophy Di Alberta Ferretti, but no one has really made something out of it. Until now! Fakeshake3's idea of making the dress into a top, is utter genius and I personally wish I could say I thought of it myself! Anyway, back to the outfit! Then she added a luxurious belt and a plain back skirt. I just cannot say the word genius enough in this post! Then the flowy parts of the dress add a dash of colour to the skirt, and voila! Perfect outfit! Well done fakeshake3!
